I'm a tech worker in the process of applying for a form of retirement. I tend not to talk much about my job online, unless I'm in a space I really trust, or the question is, "How much do you hate Jira?"

I've lived in Michigan all my life and am currently in the Rochester area, but will be moving near Lansing once the retirement is finalized.

I'm demisexual, biromantic, and polyamorous, with one partner (my husband) right now and no specific plans to find any others. Dating sucks. We live separately because of in-person requirements at our jobs. We have two cats, who live with him.

I'm AuDHD and chronically ill, and my health situation feels like playing whack-a-mole. The greatest hits of my MyChart include ++- breast cancer in 2024 and a brain aneurysm that was coiled in 2025. I'm happy to talk about either if it helps anyone who is newly diagnosed. My everyday concerns include migraines and POTS, and I'm happy to talk about that as well, with the disclaimer that I'm new to POTS and may not have a lot of insight about it.

Universalist Heathenry is the "home base" of my religious practice, in that it's what I keep coming back to when I don't know what to do, when I don't have enough information, when I want to re-center myself. It is home. But I've also been practicing Kemeticism for a few years and picking up bits and pieces of other Reconstructionist beliefs as certain gods grab my attention. I also find art witchcraft to be important to my practice, and I'm feeling my way through a new experience where Sky and Earth are the foremost among some very primal Powers that want my attention too. It's complicated.

I already mentioned I'm an art witch - I work in mixed media, mostly combining acrylics, watercolors and similar media such as Neocolors, and collage; I'd love to get more into sculptural elements once I'm retired and have time to fart around with that.

I play Final Fantasy XIV (Crystal > Zalera) and City of Heroes: Homecoming (mostly on Everlasting); I'm potentially open to grouping with people I know online.

I mostly listen to metal, although I enjoy other genres too. Metal is just what makes me most happy, most of the time. I don't have a favorite band right now because there are too many good ones out there.

I mostly read speculative fiction. I don't watch a lot of TV or movies these days.

I may not always post a lot about politics on social media, but I'm left enough to want more Democrats like Mamdani. I believe that none of us are truly free until all of us are free, and that the moral arc doesn't automatically bend toward justice - we have to stay out there pushing it to the extent that we're each able. If you're bothered by that, or by support for Palestine, support for Ukraine, trans rights, etc, then we're not going to be friends. I am also not here to debate, so feel free to block my socials.
